BOWLING BALLS: The purple Hammer with a serial number starting with 6 or 7 and the Storm Spectre must not be used in certified tournament and/or league competition including the Greater Omaha City Tournament that starts Friday, April 1, 2022.
The current announcement by USBC involving 6 other Storm products removes those balls from National Tournaments use but are still allowed for use in the Omaha Bowling Association jurisdiction unless a league or tournament management votes to observe the USBC ruling.
Thirty- seven doubles pairs took to the lanes at Western Bowl to honor the memory of Vi Brannen and become City Tournament Champions. The prize fund was matched 100% by the generous gift of Vi's son who, when thanked, said " it's Mom's money." Plans are already underway to repeat this event next season.
HALL OF FAME inductees for the season have been chosen: DALE DAVIS, skill; SHIRLEY MAE MYERS, service; RONALD O. ROSS, skill; JOHN WALLACE, service.
Plans are being finalized to present each inductee with their award at a date and place of their choice.
